Raspberry Pi Platform & System Integration

Jorarri's touch panels are designed for Raspberry Pi-based equipment where the display, touch interface and computing platform need to function as part of the finished system rather than as a separate monitor.

01/

Raspberry Pi 4
Suitable for existing equipment and projects where Raspberry Pi 4 is already defined within the hardware and software architecture.

02/

Raspberry Pi 5
Suitable for applications requiring higher processing performance. Applicable configurations use the Broadcom BCM2712 quad-core Cortex-A76 processor at 2.4GHz, providing a platform for demanding HMI, monitoring and embedded applications.

03/

Compute Module Platforms
Suitable for OEM equipment where the computing platform needs to be integrated into the product and enclosure structure rather than installed as a separate development board.

04/

Memory & Storage
Applicable BCM2712-based configurations support 2GB, 4GB, 8GB or 16GB LPDDR4-4267 memory, with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB eMMC storage. A Micro SD slot and M.2 B-Key interface for SSD expansion are also available on applicable configurations.
Memory and storage can be selected according to software requirements, local data storage and the intended application.

05/

Industrial Connectivity
Available interfaces include isolated RS232/RS485, isolated CAN 2.0B, 8-channel isolated DI, 8-channel isolated DO, Gigabit Ethernet and 100Mbps Ethernet. The RS232/RS485 combination can be configured according to project requirements.
Wireless connectivity is also available on applicable configurations, including dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and optional 4G LTE.
The interface combination can be specified according to the controllers, sensors, networks and other equipment connected to the panel.

06/

Power & Mounting
Applicable industrial configurations support 9–36V DC input and use a fanless aluminum/metal housing. Applicable configurations also include reverse-polarity and overload protection.
VESA 75 and embedded mounting provide options for different equipment structures. Connector locations and cable routing can also be considered for OEM installations.

Typical Applications

The product can be configured according to the role of the touchscreen within the finished equipment.

Industrial HMI

Operator interfaces for machine settings, equipment status, monitoring and control.

Machine Control

Touch-based operator interfaces combined with industrial communication and I/O.

Monitoring Equipment

Larger touchscreen interfaces for equipment status, data and system information.

Automation Equipment

Raspberry Pi-based control and interface systems requiring industrial connectivity.

Kiosks & Terminals

Integrated touchscreen and computing solutions installed within kiosk or terminal enclosures.

Embedded Equipment

OEM equipment where display, computing, power, connectivity and mechanical installation need to be considered as one system.

Configuration Guide for Buyers

The right configuration depends on the requirements of the finished equipment. Buyers do not need to define every technical detail at the beginning of an enquiry; the following information provides a practical starting point.

Choose the Display Size
Consider the available panel space, viewing distance and amount of information that needs to be displayed.

Confirm the Raspberry Pi Platform
Specify whether the project is based on Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 5 or a Compute Module platform.
For existing systems, providing the current Raspberry Pi model helps determine the relevant compatibility requirements.

Define Connectivity
List the interfaces required for controllers, sensors, networks and peripherals, such as RS232/RS485, CAN, Ethernet, USB or digital I/O.

Confirm Power & Installation
Provide the required power input and mounting method. For equipment integration, enclosure dimensions, mounting points, connector locations and cable routing are useful.

Indicate the Procurement Stage
Specify whether the requirement is for an engineering sample, pilot quantity or regular production.
This information gives the engineering and sales teams a practical basis for reviewing the configuration and preparing a quotation or sample.

OEM & ODM Configuration

Standard configurations cover common applications. For equipment manufacturers, the panel can also be configured around specific system and mechanical requirements.

Configuration Area

Available Options

Key Considerations

Display & Touch

Display size, resolution, capacitive touch

Viewing area, touch requirements and interface layout

Computing

Raspberry Pi platform, memory, eMMC, M.2 NVMe

Processing and local storage requirements

Connectivity

RS232/RS485, CAN, Ethernet, USB, digital I/O, wireless
